|  This land with the black coloured sheds was the Newcastle Shipbuilding Companies from 1919 to 1921 when it went bankrupt. The sheds stood empty for quite a while & in the late 20s early 30s the Reay Gear Works took over the sheds & started producing gearwheels & gearboxes. George Angus & Co eventually took over & later in the late 50s early 60s it became R W Transmissions.
