 Newly built shops (looking unoccupied in 1934 image). I believe across College Hill Road was the site of the Rose and Crown.
Across Kenton Lane from shops is the Duck in the Pond site. |

The Rose & Crown in photo was diagonally opposite the Duck in the Pond, I understand it closed in the 1920's or 30's when the liquor licence was transferred to the Duck. |

The Rose & Crown was demolished in the early 1930's and it would appear to be on the corner of Kenton Lane and College Hill Road opposite teh shops, about where Broadlawns Court and a block of flats in Kenton Lanew. |
