Miss Minna Ford was given consent to build the chapel in 1877, it is built of Caldey Stone with arches of Bath Stone. There was a prior harbour chapel from 1539 which was abandoned by the church for none payment of tithes and fell into disrepair, being used for manufacture and later storage. It was on a pier which was demolished in 1840 to make the harbour entrance wider. |
