Thanks for spotting this one! We'll make the necessary changes to the glass plate and digital image numbering, and re-catalogue the image in Scotland. It looks like Aerofilms Ltd mis-ordered the glass plate in amongst some English images, without giving a location. Yours, Katy Britain from Above Cataloguing Team Leader |

This image is much later than 1929. There is a Plan of the Anchor Mills dated 1952 to be found at - http://canmore.rcahms.gov.uk/en/site/43191/details/paisley+anchor+thread+works/ which will show anomalies in the layout, such as the inclusion on this image of the buildings on the right bank of the river just above the Railway Bridge, annoted as 'Finishing Works (Dress & Wearing Material) |

This is looking west over the old Anchor Recreation ground. This is now part Paisley Rugby Club and Powerleague 5 a sides! The old iron mill bridge is visible over the White Cart, leading on to the hidden Hamill Falls where locals still fish to this day. The area mainly in the foreground is called Lonend. |

Well done, Dylan. Since this has an "English" image reference, I spent last night looking at every major town in northern England. Sigh. |

Actually I have to thank my sister: I showed her the image zoomed in on the Town Hall, and she Googled Town Hall Clock Towers! |
