Southern Martlet aircraft. One of only 5 built. This one was originally built for Douglas Douglas-Hamilton, 14th Duke of Hamilton and the man Rudolf Hess asked for on his arrival in Scotland. Hamilton and a colleague were the first men to fly over Mount everest (not in this aircraft).

In this photo there are two right angle shaped tree shelter belts which are likely to be recognisable. In my opinion there is a possibility that the photo was taken in Berkshire or Oxfordshire.

Yes, my mistake. It was built by the Southern Aircraft company, designed by Fred Miles before he formed his own company.

This aircraft is in 2 of the formation photos with the National Aviation Day aircraft such as G-EBMR so it's probably near the Thames in West Middlesx as in photo EPW037506

I think that the aircraft is a Miles Martlet but if anyone can get the location closer than a field somewhere in England, I'll be very surprised.
