The Lawn, home of the Rhymney Ironworks top brass, later of the Vicarage (Dr Who filmed there in the late 2000s)and the Rhymney Grammar/Secondary School, now the Welsh medium Primary School Ysgol y Lawnt.

Andrew Buchan had the Rhymney River culverted to provide more land for the ironworks.

Rhymney Brewery, from the 1800s under Andrew Buchan till the 1980's under Whitbread, moved to Magor.

The Eisteddfod Field, did what it says on the tin, plus Rhymney Football Club and, from 1910 to 1959, the pitch of Rhymney RFC.

War Memorial Park Opened 1926, later home of Rhymney RFC.
