| Smeaton's Pier - the leftward turning part is an addition to the original. John Smeaton designed the pier in 1766. Originally 360 ft, a further 300 feet was added in the 1890's. (An earlier wooden extension of 1864 lasted just two decades). |

| St Ia's Church, consecrated 1434. The tower is of granite from Zennor. The clock only received its minute hand in 1934 (old clocks merely had hour hands). Much of the old structure remains. |
