| Pre-WW1 Park Royal ground built by the Great Western Railway for use of Queens Park Rangers, with a station on the line alongside facing the main grandstand. The Army requisitioned the facility in 1915 and Rangers subsequently took over Loftus Road, taking the stand with them. |

| The Great Western Railway also had Platforms at North Acton at a higher level until 1947. In between the Central line and the GWR platforms ran two goods lines of the "Ealing and Shepherds Bush" line, at the lower level.
The Central Line was only Ealing Broadway - Liverpool Street pre-1947. |

| Old Oak Common Engine Shed Great Western Railway. It was designed by Mr G J Churchward and opened on 17.3.1906. Inside there were four turntables under one roof. This was the largest depot on the Great Western system and at 31.12.1947 it had an allocation of 232 locomotives. |

Goodness...Old Oak Common Loco Sheds. 1960, I spent many a lunch break from Acton Wells School in the loco sheds (as a student from Acton Technical School we occupied the top floor at Acton Wells). Access to sheds via the boundary fence off the Grand Union Canal bank. Returned to school for the afternoon session covered in coal dust looking like minstrels. Happy days. |
