' Old Oak Common Engine Shed Great Western Railway. It was designed by Mr G J Churchward and opened on 17.3.1906. Inside there were four turntables under one roof. This was the largest depot on the Great Western system and at 31.12.1947 it had an allocation of 232 locomotives. '
