Since 1992, this building has been used as the University's Language Centre. Formerly the building, also known as The Red Barn, was a Blind and Handicapped Workshop; prior to that, it had been used as: one of Oxford's Municipal Restuarants, Oxford's Theatre (replaced by the Playhouse on Beaumont Street in the mid- to late 30s) and a Big Game Museum. The giraffe that used to stand on the ground floor has been moved to Exeter Museum. |
