412a Stoney Stanton Road. The home from 1938 to 1940 of Charles and Eliza Curtis and family. 412a stood in a row of seven houses numbered 408, 408a, 410, 410a, 410b, 412a and 412. 412a and 412 were a pair of houses adjacent to; but seperate from, the other five. As a result of the November 1940 bombing 410b, 412a and 412 had to be demolished. 408 to 410a are still in use in April 2016 despite having their roofs blown off in 1940.

Causeway Terrace. A group of seven houses in existence on the 1887 Ordnance Survey map. No.5 Causeway Terrace was the home from 1912 to 1937 of Charles and Eliza Curtis and family. Their sons Walter and Hubert were born at 49, Cromwell Street in 1909 and 1910. Eight further children were born: May (1912), John (1914), Edith (1915), Joseph (1917), Reginald (1919), Sydney (1920), Ellen (1922) and my father Leonard (1927). Causeway Terrace was accessed by a path which ran between 412, Stoney Stanton Road and an adjacent factory wall. The family moved to 35, Peel Street in 1937. The whole of Causeway Terrace had to be demolished as a result of the November 1940 bombing.
