49, Cromwell Street,the home from 1909 to 1912 of Charles Curtis (son of Benjamin living at number 93) and his new wife Eliza. They were sharing this accommodation with Charles sister Annie and her husband Ormonde Frost. Charles and Eliza had two children there; Walter born 1909 and Hubert born 1910, before they moved the short distance to 5, Causeway Terrace. Causeway Terrace was accessed from an entry between the right of 412, Stoney Stanton Road and the factory next door.

93 Cromwell Street, the home from 1902 of Benjamin and Phyliss Curtis and children. Benjamin died there March 3rd 1917, aged 56. Phyliss continued to live there.

The English Electric Co Ltd. works. English Electric took over the works from Coventry Ordnance Works Ltd in 1919. The works were closed c. 1926 and were later purchased by the Admiralty. (Source: Industrial Locomotives of West Midlands Handbook. Industrial Railway Society.)
