E C Robson & Sons Ltd, flour millers, Sunderland. The firm's share capital acquired by the Spillers combine in 1936. [The Scotsman 4 May 1936 p 3 last col]. Possibly not an ideal location for a roller flour mill. It would have been better situated alongside the river Wear to receive grain by barge, or to be by a railway to receive grain by train. |
