Reservoir above Perhiwceiber which was the first feature to be identified thus enabling identification of the whole photo. Open reservoirs on tops of hills are unusual. |

I am confident on this one that I have the correct location. I suggest that the Map Reference is ST 08755 95518 which is Incline Top, Abercynon which is close to the centre of this photo. The photo was taken from above the Llanfabon to Nelson road looking north west towards Abercynon and the Cynon Valley. It is nowhere near Ebbw Vale! The field boundaries fit , the roads fit, everything fits. Please can you amend the official details. |

This is a photograph taken from above Llanfabon looking north west over Abercynon towards the Cynon Valley. It is some distance from the previous shot identified today as Upper Boat and is ten miles or so from Ebbw Vale as officially identified! I eventually found the pond in the hills and from this everything fits having identified others previously unidentified in this area. In South Wales most of the movement is north south up and down the valleys. This photo minimises the north south effect. There is hardly any industry in this photo which for South Wales is unusual. However the line of Trevithick's 1804 tramway crosses this shot so there is some important industry. |

I suggest that this one is nowhere near the town of Ebbw Vale and should be regarded as unlocated for the present. I expect that it is somewhere in Gwent but I can't locate it at present. Good luck everyone. |
