Durdans Dock still with water in it. Nearly up to what is now the park in Cranleigh Gardens.

This small bridge was demolished and Durdans Dock cut filled in. I remember the bridge there in 1955, when I was a child. At this time the canal seemed more like a river in places, until they drove piles along its length

White Hart public house. Now demolished.

The Northcote Arms public house. During the 60s and early 70s, this was the venue for Farx Club, which hosted bands such as Led Zeppelin, Uriah Heep, The Groundhogs, Mott the Hoople etc. It later closed down and became a care home. Hard to imagine now as it is a derelict and ruinous eyesore populated by rats and drug addicts, awaiting demolition.
