Smithfield. A vast open air market place from 17th century historically used for trading livestock and until quite recently a monthly horse fair, or some infamy, took place there. Jameson Distillery to the east side converted to other uses. The west side has been completely renewed with the loss of some notable buildings. Part of the suburb of Oxmantown.
