Grade 1 listed building - Cadw Building ID: 11982
Built by Norman knight Adam de Rupe in the second half of the 12th century, probably on the site of an earlier wooden structure.
Burned by Parliamentary forces in 1644 and left to decay.
In 1900 purchased and subject to several reconstruction works including a steel frame and concrete floors. |
