Ran from 60 Canmore Street to 94 Mackinfauld Road, it was at one time home to several works. At number 67 was a foundry built in 1906 for Rennie’s Steel Casting Co., which was later acquired by the chemical manufacturers Domestos Ltd. At 113 was an iron and steel store, the premises of John Donald Ltd, whilst at 77 was the depot of Val De Travers Ltd., asphalt contractors. The street also housed Parkhead Fire Station, which closed when services were transferred to Cambuslang. |
