(I'm not certain which Pin this refers to!) The upper pin is a goods shed - see 1950 aerial photo at http://www.disused-stations.org.uk/f/fort_augustus/index.shtml.  The other pin may be the engine shed, but it's not visible on the 1950 photo. The line was very short-lived - opened 1903, closed to passengers 1933 and completely shortly after WW2.  |

This line was an extension of the North British Railway branch from Spean Bridge to Fort Augustus. It opened in 1903 to serve a pier at the end of Loch Ness to link with steamers on the loch, and was only used in the Summer months. Closed to passengers 1906!
