Hidden by the trees is a 13th C chapel, the oldest thing in the image - and we can't see it. The trees are as artificial as the old manor, two woods were brought here as up to 25 yr old trees but they didn't establish and once the supports had rusted by the 70's, over they went. There are now rather thinner smaller scale trees on the site. |

The mystery object in this image is what??? It seems to be rather sharper than the hedge behind it and not obviously a part of the landscape. Something on the camera lens should not be this sharp - perhaps something on the negative? But what? Requires someone to look at the plate with a microscope. |
