Haymarket Bus Station. United services going north of Newcastle left from here to Blyth, Ashington, Morpeth, Alnwick, and Berwick. This is still a major bus station but the site has been totally redeveloped. Amazing to think that there is so much that has changed since this photo. |

The Gallowgate offices of the United bus company. This controlled the company's services across Northumberland and into Scotland. Coach services to London also left from the Gallowgate Coach Station. Built in red brick art deco style of the period it made a real impact on the city. Now demolished. |
