This was the old Harris Lebus club house before Sir Herman commissioned a new one on the land near the station (still on the North side of Ferry Lane). |

This land is no longer flat, allegedly as a result of left rubble from the Victoria Line construction in the 1960s. |

Here is the Gospel Oak & Barking railway, originally opened as the Tottenham & Forest Gate Railway in 1894. The two bridges hereabouts have had speed restrictions imposed on them now for years. |

This bridge has been the 'proposed' site for reconstruction (for strengthening etc) by Waltham Forest Council since, at least 1999. The kerbsides are guarded by some of the dirtiest red/white hazard barriers in London, and some of the bridge finials are missing now, although the commemoration plaque is thankfully still in situ. I wonder if this is a hark back to the argument about the tramways 'gap' between Walthamstow & Tottenham 'who' should fund the refurbishment of the bridge? |

This is Ferry Lane Bridge and marks the former boundary point at which the Walthamstow Electric Tramways terminated from 1903-1936(trolleys extended further eastwards). There could never be any agreement betwixt Walthamstow & Tottenham councils 'who' should foot the bill to join the two sections of tramways from this bridge to the Tottenham system. So for decades passengers had to walk it! |

Wow, a trolleybus heading eastbound from Walthamstow which could only have been a 623 (to Manor House) or 625 (Wood Green) |

Another manufacturing site 'lost' to a housing estate in the late 1990s. |
