The house at No 11 Norman Crescent was my grandmother's home. She lived there until about 1948/9 when she passed away. I lived with my mother in the same house in 1944-5 until 1948. Remember a VE day street party!

The pathway from about the bottom centre up to the top left is the remains of a Roman road, known locally as the "Roman Rigg" It is still there today. In the 1940's the fields around the Rigg were cornfields.
