Ravenswood Terrace (name of the row of terraced houses) These terraced houses were built on the site of Ravenswood House, it covered a large area and had enclosed grounds & ornamental gardens. 1820 house belonged to Joseph Johnson who was arrested at Peterloo, he was an active radical of Politics. He was imprisoned for 1 yr in Lincoln Castle.

It was Princess Road - the name was changed, from memory, in the mid-1950s as part of a council to eradicate replications of the same road names across Manchester. A few other streets in Northenden, and one in Baguley too, had their names similarly changed at the same time.
