Selby West signalbox, still in use.

The Cawood branch; the line curved away north shortly off this photo, then crossed the Selby Dam on its way to Wistow and Cawood. The line closed to passengers on 1 January 1930 and closed completely on 2 May 1960.

Originally the locoshed of the Cawood, Wistow and Selby Light Railway. Used for railwaymen's mutual improvement classes until it was demolished in 1963.

Line to York - replaced by the Selby diversion. From Selby to Riccall the trackbed has been used for the A19; north of Riccall it is now a cycle route number 65, Trans-Pennine trail etc.

Line to Market Weighton and Driffield, opened 1848, closed 1965. Connected with the Derwent Valley Light Railway at Cliff Common.

Selby Swingbridge, once used by the East Coast mainline, but bypassed some years ago when the Selby coal field was being developed. Still used by the more local services.

St James' church. Subsequently lost it's spire when hit by a bomber from RAF Ricall during an ill-fated training flight. A Halifax bomber collided with the spire of St James’ Church on 10th may 1944 and flattened a number of houses on Portholme Drive. The crew of five Australians and two RAF personnel were killed, as well as eight civilians.
