Yes, well done Richard..... I was clearly not 'flying' low enough. The trees around the house seem thicker and the sense of remoteness has gone! |

Thatched cottage suggests somewhere in southern England. The woods might be on the edge of the New Forest. Hampshire or Dorset possibly? |

I have spent sometime 'flying' over the New Forest and cannot detect this fairly strong pattern of house, parterre, outbuildings and nearby walled garden on modern aerial pictures. That is not to say it is not there. However, there are a number of heathland areas with dominate natural patches of pine wood with soft edges that I have not checked. The series of pictures stand between two sets that include pictures of Luton, but these pictures seem to be out of context. |

Thanks for the help with this image and the others in the group of the site. I shall post the same message to all of them (just to be clear that we have picked up on the information). We'll update the catalogue record, and post the updated details here in due course. Yours, Katy Britain from Above Cataloguing Team Leader |

Bransgore House as identified by RichardW. I was wrong about it being outside the New Forest but I did have a quick unsuccessful search earlier today, including the New Forest. Well done Richard. |

I've had a quick recce and I tend towards this being in Hampshire but nearer to London than the New Forest. I can't see a railway or a church. There is nothing of note in the furthest reaches of the photographs. There are no signs that I can read. There are lots of conifers and the ground is flattish. Just some thoughts. |
