THE PHEASANTRY. In THE 1920s and 30s it housed the studio and was the home of Russian dance teacher Princess Seraphine Astafieva. She trained several of Diaghilev's Ballets Russes dancers and taught prima ballerinas Alicia Markova and Margot Fonteyn. The pheasantry is currently a Pizza restaurant.

Cinema opened in 1910, in the 1920s it was known as the Electric Theatre. By 1937 it had been re-named the Classic Cinema. It closed in 1973 and the building demolished and replaced by a branch of Boots the Chemist.
