I believe your caption writer has got it wrong on two counts The first factual the second semantic. (a) There no way that this is Belmont. Just look at Image ref EPW037780, made 18 months later to see that Belmont was still green fields when this photo was made. (b) OK, Kenton Lane is there; but hardly at the centre of things - almost forming the eastern boundary of this awful sprawl |
