A typical South Eastern Railway arrangement with staggered platforms, although the modern lengthening of the platforms means that they now overlap rather more than was originally the case. The good yard seen here is all down to small industrial use today.

Tender loco shunting the goods yard... but it hard to identify where the brake van for the goods train has been 'parked' while the shunting is going on. The only possible vehicle, but rather blurred image, is in the 'Up' siding to the right of the station building at the head of string of wagons. There is clearly a of sorting to do as the yards is fairly full of traffic including both 'Up' and 'Down' Sidings, beside the two track running lines

I think this the old Battle & Langton Primary School with the children seen in the playground!
