| Sloane Square Underground Station with roofed platforms and no office space above the entrance hall.
The station was refurbished in the late 1930s and given a glazed roof. Sadly the roof was destroyed in wartime bombing and was never replaced.
Seen from the platforms, the brick retaining walls still (2014) show the base line of the roof structure. |

 The curved roof of Sloane Square underground station is clearly visible in the picture and only a few minutes walk from the R|oyal hospital was the starting point for many an expedition by the "Gentlemen in Scarlet" over the last century! |
