St Davids, Herbert Road, Salcombe. Built in 1925 for Frederic and Mabel Murch (son David was 1 year old). The house was named St Davids in honour of the St Davids lifeboat which saved a family member from a sinking ship in the Irish Sea. David married Muriel in 1947 and they also lived in St Davids where they had a son, Julian in 1949 and a daughter Nichola in 1954. The house was demolished in 2014 after it was sold following the death of Muriel. It was only ever occupied by the Murch family. Two new semi-detached houses, St Davids 1 and St Davids 2 now stand on the site.
