St. Bede's Church - Made of corrugated metal, painted green in the early 50's.

The River Cole. Must have been prone to frequent flooding in those days as it was dredged and given a much deeper and wider course in the late 1940's

This was still there after the war. My mother was the cleaner there and used to take me with her sometimes in the lste 40's I think. The legendary Geoff Duke was a member I was told.

My mother and father were members and I remember going in as a child. It was finaly closed down in the late 70s / early 80s.
