There were at least two tugs like this operating here in the 1960s, owned by the Thames Conservancy. They would tow chains of about 5 barges. One tug was called Wey.

I think this is the house "Quetta" which is still there. The road was called River Ash Estate.

Hillrise was Mrs Miskin's house. Gridley Miskin were timber merchants at Walton and Kingston. The lawn was used for the finish of the Walton Amateur Regatta.
