Thorntons did not come to Belper until the 1930s. The pointer is on Unity Mill. The gable end of the building to the left was the Grand Theatre which later was incorporated into Thorntons factory. Still stands. Thorntons factory was, enpty building still is, on the oposite side of Derwent Street to Unity Mill. |
