No point commenting with guesswork when users of the site might regard your information as reliable. One thing it isn't is an "0-6-0". Anything but a 0-4-0s - either brewery or railway owned - were extremely rare, such was the curvature of the brewery owned private lines. This is a Worthington 0-4-0 saddle tank coming round from Worthington's maltings, passing Bass' Old Brewery water tower and joining the L.M.S (formerly Midland Railway) Hay Branch. |

The title caption is misleading, This is view is primarily of Bass' "Old" Brewery centre foreground with premises belong to Worthington (left) and Allsopp (right) also prominent. Bass 'Middle' brewery is partially visible in distance; Bass "New" brewery not at all! |
