The factory was built in 1917, became National Aircraft Factory No. 2 and was eventually sold to Fairey Aviation in 1934.

This fence marks the line of what was to become Buckingham Road. The bridge over the railway (now a footway only) connects to the other part of Buckingham Road (running alongside St Thomas Church).

This field later became the site of Peel Moat secondary modern school, later North Area College. In 2012 this was unused and derelict.

Nov 2013. Under development for housing. The now disused Leisure Centre site is being discussed as the possible site for a new school. It needs an updated photo!!

Katy- purchased directly from Air Marketing International, Hertfordshire (still trading) more than 12 years ago. I think it cost about 45 quid- quite some years back. It is also marked Airpic F498.
