This bridge was removed after closure of the railway in 1969. Following the restoration of the Great Central Railway to the south in 1974 and the Great Central (Nottingham) section in 2003, plans were made to link the two together, with the result that sometime in 2017 the bridge will be rebuilt.

Great Central Railway, opened in 1899. Closed 1969. The part to the right of this picture was reopened as the Great Central Railway by a preservation group in 1974.
