Part of the Longbridge industrial feeder lines. A tank engine can be seen just by this. |

| Here are the platforms for the original Longbridge Station. As you can see, there are two tracks, so when it was decided to increase it to four tracks, the tunnel had to be opened out into a cutting and the platform on the southbound side had to go. This was the time when the station closed. But travelling along the line recently, I noticed that traces of the northbound platform still remain! |

I thought the main reason for opening out the tunnel was to increase the number of tracks. |
