Pinnau
 The Ipswich and Stowmarket Navigation, opened 1793, mostly using the River Gipping. Traffic to Stowmarket stopped around 1910, but traffic continued to Bramford until 1929. The navigation was abandoned in 1932.

We are at a session at the Wiltshire and Swindon History Centre and are not entirely sure whether this is the first Fison factory - can anybody help? |

Yes it is. There is an up-to-date and comprehensive history of the site and buildings currently available as part of a planning application. Google Mid Suffolk District Council 2700/12 and look for the Heritage Statement. |
