The GPO's Wheatstone House, shown here the year it was built (in fact it looks like it's still under construction, judging by the hoardings outside!). It was not a Telephone Exchange, but a Transmission Repeater Station was located in the basement. Expected to be demolished in 2016 for redevelopment. |
