I cannot believe that this photo was taken on Sunday August 30th 1953 just one day before the August Bank Holiday on what is the notorious Exeter By-Pass. There's no traffic around to speak of! |

This looks like the coach that was parked beside the changing rooms in an earlier photo. With the match now over and the pitch cleared it looks like everyone's gone to the Countess Wear Hotel for a post-match drink. Certainly the car park is now full! |
