The Malt Cross. Formerly a Music Hall, built in 1877, it has served as storage warehouse & retail premises over the decades, and for some years there was a restaurant in the basement of the building (Trattoria Conti, Sapna). Recent refurbishment (2014) has returned the interior to its Victorian majesty & it's now possible to tour the caves below.

The Bodega pub on Pelham St. Once a cosy Double Diamond hostelry ("chilled or room temperature?" as George the barman used to ask in the '60s) it now caters for a more youthful crowd, with live music showcasing up & coming bands from across the country.

The famous "Palleh" (Palais de Dance). The building still stands (2016) and despite many name changes over the years, still provides what it always has - music, booze, dancing.
