Interesting to compare this aerial view with one taken of this pillbox from the public FP in 2016, now a garden feature in a private house within Elkin's Boatyard. During WWII the boatyard was working for the Admiralty, building an assortment of marine craft and no doubt the pillbox would have been a part of the local defences at this location. |
