The Royal Hotel which is actually in Hebburn. Today in 2014 its new name is its old nickname 'The White Lead'. The nickname started in the late 1800s early 1900s because white dust from the Lead Works across the road discoloured the building . Photo is from my www.oldtyneside.co.uk website

People without a bath at home could also come & have a bath in the other section of the building. The swimming pool photo is from my www.oldtyneside.co.uk website
