Cunard liner MEDIA of 1947, used on Liverpool - New York route until withdrawal from service in 1961. According to shipping movement records published in "The Times" MEDIA arrived in Liverpool from New York on 10 May and left on 17 May. Her sister ship PARTHIA arrived in Liverpool from New York on 24 May and was probably loading in New York when this photograph was taken. My father was an electrician on the MEDIA at this time.
