Cyfraniadau Grŵp
Having visited this area this week I find it fascinating to compare what I saw with the photographs of 1951. I had no idea that I would be able to use so many of this weeks photos which I took speculatively in the hope that I might use some. This is a relatively quiet backwater of an English county town which has not seen much change to the buildings. There is a lack of cars, period petrol pumps, a coach peeping out of the garage, a mother pushing a pram in the middle of the road. There are two pubs which are still open for trade. I didn't notice any corner shops still open. It might be worth doing a project with The Higgins Museum as this area is on their doorstep! |
