The foundations of what would would soon be four new schools for Halifax over this whole site. Highlands (North Halifax High), J.H Whitley, Holy Trinity (Trinity Academy) and Catholic High Schools. Only Holy Trinity and Highlands in their new academy form survive as schools. Catholic High School has become an erstwhile filmset for various different TV dramas.

The south entrance to the Queensbury Tunnel, forming part of the "Alpine Route" from North Bridge, Halifax to Queensbury and then on to either Bradford Exchange or Keighley, via a now removed triangular railway station.
