This hangar still stands and is mainly used for hangarage of various light aircraft. It was used by the Miles and Beagle Aircraft companies successively in the 1950s and 1960s

A Messerschmitt 109 crash-landed here virtually intact at this spot in 1940 during the Battle of Britain. The pilot was captured but many years later when contacted to take part in the 50th BoB anniversary, I understand he denied all knowledge!
