As Moses72 below says, this is the Q Type Country Bus 309 Uxbridge to Harefield.

Under maximum magnification, one can just see the pub "The Plough" in Cheapside Lane. Now called "The fat Cow". Houses in a row opposite are all in Cheapside Lane.

Under magnification, one can clearly make out the Service Station building, with canopy over the forecourt. This was a really busy service station, I worked here briefly in vacation periods in summer 1960.The car brands advertised are Austin, Morris, Renault, and Hudson

One can just make out (under magnification) a single-decker bus. I am pretty sure this is a London Transport "Q"-type, such as was used on the Uxbridge-Harefield 309 route via Denham. It is here travelling towards Harefield, is just about to turn right off the A40 onto the A412 (hidden behind the damage on the negative), and is travelling with the passenger door open.
