 Herga cinema. Suffered a major fire early one Saturday evening late fifties/early sixties. Crowds gathered across the High Road to watch the fire brigade in action. After aperiod of dereliction of a couple of years, opened as a Norlond hardware distributor' showoom.
The unusual name "Herga" was allegedly an ancient name for Harrow. |
